The man with the plan and a cuppa in hand. He’s your go-to guy for quotes, chats, and getting the ball rolling at Traglen Decking. From handling materials to managing the books, he keeps everything ticking behind the scenes. But he’s not just a desk guy — Jeff’s on-site, hands-on, and making sure each job runs smooth from start to finish. Expect a well-run project, a well-fed crew, and maybe a Dad joke or two.

Frank :

A skilled chippy with a sharp eye for detail, building every deck to last and never to fail. A tea lover with a soft spot for classic cars, he’s the guy making sure your build sets the bar. Just don’t be surprised if his tools play hide and seek, they always turn up, usually by the end of the week!

Tyler :

Tyler’s the young gun, keen and quick on the scene, fuelled by meat pies and Red Bull caffeine. First on site and ready to roll, with a shiny car that’s cleaner than his tool patrol!

Our Projects

Composite Decking - Melonba

This project involved putting in a 5.9m swim spa in the back corner of the property. The spa had to be craned in (it weighed 1.5 tonne and the back of the property was 50m away from the road) and had to be delivered over the houses. First we dug out the pit and retained the area to allow 500mm around the spa once it was put in place after the slab was laid. With a submersible pump in place, we were ready to deck around the spa. Hatches were put in place and steps along the entire length gave access to the spa and the backyard. Other features of this job include:

  • Leatherwood composite boards

  • Breaker boards used to eliminate any joins

  • Lighting around border to illuminate backyard at night and give a touch of elegance

Timber Decking - Marouba

This customer needed an old shed removed to make room for their new spa. We then built the base for the spa, put it in place then built a merbau decking around it. While doing this, we concealed the sides, and created a storage cabinet for their pool pump, and utilised that as a sun baking deck area. Other features include:

  • Integrated steps in between the spa and sun baking deck area

  • Black aluminium corners to give a clean finish

  • Stainless steel bugles on the 140mm boards as a highlight

Composite Decking - Rouse Hill

The customer wanted a decking that would be level with the pool and to provide a “stage” area for sun baking. A planter box was also required to bring some greenery to the scene.

  • Lighting was used to identify steps

  • Backbeach boards were used on planter box to match decking

  • Matching edge boards were used along with breaker boards to eliminate joins and give an elegant finish
